Tattooed on the inside of each biceps are "carpe diem" and "atonement," but Lauren Jackson prefers not to share their meaning.
Carpe diem — Latin for "seize the day" and on her left arm — seems easy enough. Consider the way Jackson has played — and partied — the past 10 years in Seattle.
Atonement, inscribed on the right arm, takes only slightly more thought. Jackson seems determined to make amends this season.
